More Gris

Columnist Ed Grisamore has won more than 40 writing awards in his career at The Macon Telegraph. Now you can read, and re-read some of his favorites from the past four years in his latest book, More Gris.

More Gris is a second helping of Eds stories and columns. His first collection, True Gris, was published in 1997. It is his third book overall. In 1998, he and co-author Bill Buckley captured the hilarious history of the original Macon Whoopees hockey team of 1973-74!

In More Gris, Ed shows why his columns find a special place in the hearts of so many Telegraph readers. He covers Middle Georgia like the dew as he writes about everything from fruitcake to friendship to front porches to fatherhood.

Its all here stories about special people, places and simple pleasures and treasures. You can laugh with him when you read the story of the escaped python. Youll cry with him as he writes poignantly about his absent friends. When he writes about homegrown tomatoes, you can almost taste a tomato between two pieces of white bread, dripping with mayonnaise with plenty of salt and pepper.
